I thought it was never going to be released! I still have no idea what it’s about but it’s got Earth and New in so…
I’m so intrigued to see how Earth fits in, he is a special guest and was only filming for two or so days because he was doing his Thesis at the time (and was why he couldn’t be more than a guest). They used EarthNew to promote it too, even if it was only a little.

This is how you’re supposed to announce an event, let everyone know before tickets have gone on sale who is going to be there. I’m interested to see how this all plays out, though tbh I highly doubt I’m going to be happy but at least Earth and New will be together again.
I’ve been waiting for this photo shoot to appear, Earth looks so handsome 😍 I hope we get the other photos too since I know New had a different top on as did Earth…

It was the EarthNew Taipei fanmeeting today. I should be happy, but I’ve done nothing but cry since I woke up this morning. All day yesterday Earth and New were doing interviews but of course Tay had to be included. What special guest is involved in everything? It’s clear they never intended for this to be an EarthNew fanmeet, at least GmmTV didn’t.
Before ‘Kiss me Again’ was announced I had noticed a distance between Earth and New, but since New was doing SOTUS and they still interacted I didn’t think much of it, aside from being a bit disappointed, but it was understandable. At that time we also got the Mix magazine photoshoot, which was out-of-the-blue and gave me hope that we’d get to see more of them together, maybe even a S2 of Water Boyy. However since ‘Kiss me Again’ was announced that distance has become larger and more obvious. They do not talk as often or like each others posts as much. I have thought for a while something odd was happening, but I tend to be a bit paranoid so I ignored it. The thing is I then started to notice GmmTV effectively drowning out EarthNew as it seemed that whenever they posted something EarthNew related they would post a bunch of TayNew before or after. They post about TayNew constantly, like TayNew tweets, it’s clear they are pushing them. They even posted a comparison between ‘Water Boyy’ and ‘Kiss me Again’ not long after Tay was announced. It might have seemed like a bit of fun to them, but everyone in fandom knows stuff like that just incites fanwars, it didn’t help either that the two scenes had only one minor similarity.
All of this is fine, no matter how much I personally hate it, since it’s a business and they feel that’s how they can make money. The problem is them doing so at the expense of EarthNew and EarthNew fans. GmmTV also barely promoted the fanmeet, in fact I’ve seen more fans promo the fanmeet than anyone officially associated with it.
In the interviews I have seen there is barely a mention of Water Boyy, but you can be sure they’ll point out ‘Kiss me Again’, bizarre considering you can actually watch Water Boyy in Taiwan and you’d think they’d want to promote that fact. These interview also had an opportunity to ask about ‘Love by Chance’ but they decided to ignore it, though maybe they weren’t allowed to ask about upcoming projects.
I’m just tired of it all.
I’ve often wondered where the fanservice line should be drawn, more so since watching Thai BL, and the truth is I wish they’d just stop it all together. It’s not fun to be played, to be allowed to fall in love with something only for those in charge to rip it away whilst trying to shove something new into your face. The lack of understanding from everyone involved, and other fans, about how hurt people are is also hard to take.
Everyone is different, I get that, some are happy with Tay’s inclusion (though these do seem to be exclusively TayNew fans) but I’ve seen such a large percentage of EarthNew fans (who the event was aimed at) unhappy, and I’m sorry but since this was supposed to be an EarthNew event EarthNew fans’ feelings are much more important.
This was the LAST time we’d get to see Earth and New together (a point Earth reiterated before the meet) and they couldn’t just let us have it.
Tay even joined the special high-touch, signing, and photo session (for VIP ticket holders), which Joytime explicitly stated he would not. But what’s one more lie right?
It hurts so much.

New & Earth fan meeting Taipei
So it’s just been announced that Tay Tawan is going to be a ‘special‘ surprise guest at the fan meeting in Taipei.
I knew it was going to happen, I knew it, but I thought that just maybe they’d care more about the fans than money. I gave them far too much credit. I’m so disappointed, devastated, and literally every other synonym for hurt. Why couldn’t they just let us have this one last EarthNew moment? We get it, EarthNew isn’t a big ship, Water Boyy wasn’t a huge hit, but this is just unfair. Why even do an EarthNew event if you thought they weren’t able to carry it alone? They should have just announced a TayNew event since that’s clearly what they want, and invited Earth as the guest. It would have made more sense and not been such a horrible slap in the face to EarthNew fans.
Can you imagine if at the upcoming SingtoKrist fanmeet in Singapore Na or Nat show up? Or if Oab or Ssings went to an OffGun event? They literally wouldn’t dream of it, so why do we EarthNew fans get treated this way?
This is just another reminder as to why having hope or anticipating things is pointless.
